Get ready for a fun, fantastic workout!


BELLY DANCE BOOTCAMP                    Wednesdays, 6:45-7:30 pm

CMU University Center Group Fitness (open to public)

Learn basic moves of this beautiful art form during a fun, low-impact, cardio workout. Exotic Arabian music and upbeat familiar songs will keep you moving as we drill and thrill our way to strong, toned abs, back and shoulders. Final moves focus on flexibility and balance to help build your inner dancer.

No experience or coordination necessary, wear comfortable clothing (you can bring a hip scarf if you like!) and be prepared to have fun getting a great core workout.  Don’t be shy, guys; men can dance, too!

Enjoy this non-aerobic, muscle-toning class designed to shape and tone the body. Learn resistance band, core, and body weight exercises, how to modify the exercises, and ways to challenge yourself with a workout you can continue at home. Wear supportive footwear; bring a mat, towel, and water. Resistance bands will be available to use.

ZUMBA® uses a fusion of Latin, International, and Hip-Hop music to create a fun workout. Routines feature aerobic and fitness interval training using a combination of fast and slow rhythms. Join the fun while also toning and sculpting your body. Wear supportive athletic shoes; bring a water bottle and towel. A similar class is offered Monday evenings called Dance Fitness.

Host a Ladies’ Day In Belly Dance Party!

Bring Morgiana right to your home, business, or social venue for a fun 1 ½ hour introduction to the world of Belly Dance.  You and up to 9 friends will enjoy a short performance of this beautiful dance form, then everyone will get their hips moving to fun, upbeat Arabian rhythms as Morgiana breaks down key movements in an inclusive, beginner friendly way.  Each participant receives a short, original choreography as well as a coined hip scarf and packet of information to take home.  Excellent for bachelorette parties, birthdays, women’s clubs, and teen nights.
